Qualifications

  • 4–6 years of welding engineering experience, preferably in the UAE or GCC region.
  • In-depth knowledge of international welding standards (AWS, ASME, ISO).
  • Certification as a Welding Inspector (CSWIP, AWS-CWI, or equivalent) preferred.

Responsible for developing and implementing welding procedures and standards to ensure quality, safety, and regulatory compliance across fabrication and construction activities. The role includes reviewing applicable welding codes, inspecting welds for adherence to specifications, and providing technical guidance to address welding-related challenges.

  • Develop and maintain welding procedures, specifications, and quality standards.
  • Review and interpret welding codes, drawings, and technical documentation.
  • Conduct inspections and tests to verify weld quality and compliance.
  • Provide technical support to resolve welding defects and process issues.
  • Collaborate with quality control, project management, and contractor teams to improve efficiency and output.
  • Monitor welding operations to ensure adherence to safety regulations and project requirements.
  • Support training and development initiatives for welding personnel.
  • Maintain records of welding qualifications, inspections, and quality reports.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Welding Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 4–6 years of welding engineering experience, preferably in the UAE or GCC region.
  • In-depth knowledge of international welding standards (AWS, ASME, ISO) and UAE regulatory requirements.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical specifications.
  • Certification as a Welding Inspector (CSWIP, AWS-CWI, or equivalent) preferred.
