Job Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and welding symbols to determine project requirements.
• Set up welding equipment and select the appropriate welding method based on the project specifications.
• Safely operate welding tools and machinery, including arc welders, gas torches, and plasma cutters.
• Perform various welding techniques such as shielded metal arc welding (SMAW), gas metal arc welding (GMAW), and tungsten inert gas (TIG) welding.
• Weld and fabricate metal components and structures according to project requirements and industry standards.
• Ensure the accuracy and quality of welds by conducting visual inspections and using appropriate measuring tools.
• Repair and modify welded structures as needed, following established procedures and guidelines.
• Maintain welding equipment by performing regular inspections, cleaning, and minor repairs.
• Follow safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
• Collaborate with other team members such as engineers, quality controllers, and fabricators to complete projects efficiently and effectively.
• Stay updated with the latest welding techniques, equipment, and industry trends.
