Job summary

Shomoos Alghad Advertising LLC is seeking a skilled welder/fabricator to join its signage production team in Abu Dhabi. You will read drawings, weld using MIG, TIG, and arc processes, and fabricate frames, bases, and supports for monument signs and displays.

The role requires experience with metal fabrication, attention to tolerances, and strict safety practices while handling cutting torches and grinding tools on site or in workshop environments.

Qualifications

• Experience in signage fabrication is required.
• Must be able to read fabrication drawings and cutting lists.
• Proficient in MIG/TIG/arc welding of mild steel and stainless steel.

Job description

Job Purpose

Fabricate and weld MS GI and stainless-steel frameworks and support structures for signboards monument signs gantries and exhibition stands in accordance with approved fabrication drawings and safety standards

Key Responsibilities

• Read and interpret fabrication drawings structural layouts and cutting lists for signage frames and support structures
• Perform MIG TIG and Arc welding on mild steel stainless steel and galvanized sections as required by the job
• Fabricate signage substructures back frames mounting brackets and monument sign bases to specified dimensions and tolerances
• Cut bend and shape metal sections using cutting torches grinders and metal-forming tools
• Check completed welds for strength alignment and finish carry out grinding and smoothing of weld joints
• Ensure structural fabrication can safely support cladding acrylic faces LED modules and signage components
• Coordinate with the Installation and Site Inspection teams on structural requirements for site-mounted signage
• Maintain welding machines gas cylinders and fabrication tools report equipment faults
• Follow strict safety protocols for welding including fire safety PPE use and safe handling of gas cylinders
• Support site welding work for large-format or monument signage where fabrication must be completed on location

Signage Industry Experience is Mandatory
