Job description

•Perform welding and metal fabrication tasks on automobile frames, chassis, and other structural components using

various welding techniques (MIG, TIG, arc welding, etc.).

• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to plan and execute welding projects.

• Weld small and large components such as copper plumbing, beams and pipelines.

• Use specialized machinery for industrial welding and oversee machines that perform the same job.

• Maintain and repair all machinery.

• Assess welded surfaces, structures and components to identify errors.

• Follow and enforce strict safety regulations such as wearing heat resistant gloves, protective masks , and safety

shoes.

• Monitor machinery for appropriate usage and temperature.

• Weld components in flat, vertical, and overhead positions.

• Cutting and joining materials

• Refine the surface of materials (grinding)

• Defect and rework Rate to be <5%

• Weld completion rate (Number to be defined by LM

Desired Candidate Profile

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certification in welding is preferred.

• Proven experience as a welder in the automotive industry or a similar field.

• Proficiency in various welding techniques, including MIG, TIG, and arc welding.

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.

• Strong attention to detail and excellent hand-eye coordination.

• Knowledge of safety procedures and protocols in a welding environment.

• Physical stamina and strength to perform heavy lifting and standing for extended periods.

• Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with qualitative and/or quantitative

productivity standards.

• Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the company standards.

• Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and perform physical labor for extended periods.

• Comfortable working in various positions, including standing, bending, and kneeling.
