Job Summary : The webMethods Presales Engineer is a highly technical and customer-facing role responsible for supporting the sales cycle of IBM's webMethods integration and process automation solutions. This individual will serve as the technical subject matter expert, engaging with prospective clients to understand their challenges, design tailored solutions, and articulate the technical and business value of the webMethods platform through compelling presentations and demonstrations.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Technical Expertise & Product Demonstrations :

Serve as the primary technical resource during the sales process, demonstrating deep expertise in the webMethods suite (API Gateway, Developer Portal, Integration Server, Designer, MWS, BPM, etc.).

  • Conduct engaging and customized product demonstrations, presentations, and workshops that showcase how webMethods solutions can address specific client challenges and pain points.
  • Translate complex technical concepts into clear, concise, and business-oriented language for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Solution Design & Architecture :
  • Collaborate with prospective clients to understand their current IT landscape, business requirements, and strategic goals related to integration, API management, and process automation.

  • Design and propose comprehensive webMethods solutions that align with customer needs, including architecture, integration patterns, and potential customization.
  • Provide detailed technical responses to Requests for Information (RFIs) and Requests for Proposals (RFPs), ensuring accuracy and highlighting competitive differentiators.
  • Proof of Concept (PoC) Management :
  • Lead the technical planning, setup, and execution of Proof of Concepts (PoCs) and pilot programs, guiding customers through implementation steps to ensure successful evaluations.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during PoCs, demonstrating the platform's reliability and effectiveness.
