Job description

The Wealth Manager is responsible for managing a portfolio of high-net-worth individuals, family offices, and institutional clients. This job entails providing compliant, regulated investment advice and managing long-term client relationships by delivering customized portfolio solutions, financial planning, and strategic wealth guidance. The Wealth Manager is expected to deliver a seamless experience across the client journey from onboarding through to retention and growth.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their financial needs, objectives, and risk tolerance.
  • Serve as the point of contact for clients, addressing their inquiries, providing regular updates, and ensuring client satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with clients to assess their financial situation, develop financial plans, and provide personalized investment advice.
  • Help clients set financial goals, develop strategies for wealth accumulation and preservation, and provide guidance on retirement planning, estate planning, tax planning, and other financial matters.
  • Assist clients in managing their investment portfolios, considering their risk appetite and investment objectives.
  • Conduct investment research, analyse market trends, and make informed investment recommendations to optimize portfolio performance.
  • Monitor the performance of clients' investments and provide regular updates.
  • Actively identify and pursue new business opportunities by prospecting and acquiring new clients.
  • Generate leads, conduct client meetings, and deliver presentations to promote the firm's wealth management services and solutions.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop marketing strategies and participate in networking events to expand the client base.
  • Work closely with internal teams, such as investment analysts, financial planners, and product specialists, to deliver comprehensive financial solutions to clients.
  • Coordinate efforts to provide seamless and integrated client experiences, leveraging the expertise of various professionals within the organization.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Conduct due diligence on investment products, evaluate risks, and implement risk management strategies to protect clients' assets. Stay updated on regulatory changes and educate clients on compliance matters.
  • Prepare and present performance reports, investment summaries, and financial statements for clients.
  • Analyse portfolio performance, investment returns, and progress towards financial goals.
  • Conduct periodic reviews and recommend adjustments to clients' portfolios as needed.
  • Educate clients on financial concepts, investment strategies, and market trends.
  • Provide ongoing guidance and support to help clients make informed financial decisions.
  • Conduct client seminars, workshops, and educational events to enhance clients' financial literacy.
  • Foster long-term relationships with clients to ensure their continued satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Proactively communicate with clients, conduct regular reviews, and address any concerns or issues promptly.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, market conditions, and financial products.
  • Continuously enhance knowledge and skills through professional development opportunities, certifications, and participation in industry associations.
  • Stay informed about changes in tax laws, regulations, and financial planning strategies.
  • Uphold company values throughout business practices and use sound judgment in decision making.
  • Any other additional duties as may be required by management based on needs of the business.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in related field.
  • Proven experience in previous financial services industry.
  • Relevant bachelor’s degree in related field.
  • CFP and CFA certification will be advantageous.
  • SCA Certifications required for Promotion License.
