Job summary

Tanqeeb is seeking a Tank Cleaning Supervisor to oversee inspection, cleaning, disinfection, and testing of water tanks across client sites in the UAE. You will lead technicians, schedule assignments, and ensure safe, compliant operations while training junior staff in chemical safety.

Candidates should hold Dubai Municipality approved training, confined space certification, health/fitness documentation, and a UAE driving license. Site travel and supervisory duties are required.

Responsibilities

• Tank Inspection: Checking tank interiors for structural damage, leaks, algae growth, sediment buildup, and contamination
• Cleaning & Disinfection: Draining tanks completely, removing residual sludge, and executing high-pressure cleaning. They apply specialized, municipality-approved disinfectants to completely sterilize the system
• System Testing: Refilling the tanks and conducting essential water quality checks (such as measuring pH levels or checking for bacteria) to ensure the system is safe for public use
• Team Leadership: Leading, scheduling, and deploying groups of technicians to multiple client sites efficiently. They train junior staff members on chemical safety and proper cleaning methods.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensuring all operations strictly align with regional health standards (such as Dubai Municipality (DM) guidelines).
• Quality Assurance: Performing final inspections after a job is finished to certify that the sanitation meets strict company and regulatory standards.

Desired Candidate Profile

2. Dubai Municipality Approved Specialist Training: Supervisors must complete a certified training program (such as the Water Tank Cleaning and Disinfection Training Course for Managers and Supervisors). This training covers water safety, chemical dosage, and municipal guidelines
3. Confined Space Entry & Supervision Certification: Because water tanks are classified as hazardous confined spaces, supervisors must hold a specialized certification to manage gas testing, ventilation, and emergency rescue protocols
4. Occupational Health / Food Handling Medical Card: Because they deal directly with municipal drinking water systems, supervisors and technicians must pass regulatory medical fitness tests to prove they do not carry infectious waterborne pathogens.
5. UAE Driving License: While not a regulatory health license, most companies strictly require supervisors to have a valid UAE driver's license to transport the field crew, specialized water pumps, and chemicals across multiple sites
