Job summary

Serco is seeking an Assistant Technician - Water Network Pump Mechanic for Dubai Airports. The role involves preventive, corrective and breakdown maintenance on pumps, hydraulic equipment, and cooling systems within an airport setting.

You will inspect, diagnose, and repair pumps, valves and drainage systems, while following LV electrical isolation and safety procedures. Strong English and MS Office skills are required.

Qualifications

• ITI Diploma in Mechanical Maintenance or equivalent.
• IOSH Working Safely certificate.
• UAE driving licence desirable.
• Minimum 3 years in pump repair or maintenance.
• Experience in airport or large facility preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose and repair pumps, hydraulic equipment, compressors, valves and related equipment.
• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on pumps, engines and compressors.
• Carry out installation, repair and maintenance of pipes, valves, fittings and drainage systems.
• Carry out pump overhauling and repair activities.
• Inspect and maintain pressure vessels, oil interceptors and backflow preventers.
• Carry out maintenance on irrigation, stormwater, potable water and sewage pump systems.
• Carry out electrical isolations and LOTO procedures on LV equipment.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
• Use electrical test equipment and interpret results.
• Follow safety requirements to ensure health and welfare of self and others.
