Job Summary
The Warehouse Supervisor oversees daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficient and safe handling, storage, and dispatch of goods. They lead a team of warehouse workers, coordinate logistics activities, and maintain inventory accuracy, productivity, and workplace safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of warehouse staff, including receiving, storing, and shipping goods.
- Monitor inventory levels and conduct regular stock counts to ensure accuracy.
- Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with company policies and OSHA regulations.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient warehouse environment.
- Operate and train staff on warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
- Review and improve warehouse workflows to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Coordinate with procurement, logistics, and customer service teams to ensure timely delivery.
- Maintain records of incoming/outgoing shipments, returns, and damaged goods.
- Resolve any issues related to orders, inventory discrepancies, or warehouse equipment.
- Support onboarding, training, and performance evaluation of warehouse employees.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in logistics or supply chain a plus.
- Proven experience (typically 3+ years) in warehouse or logistics operations, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse procedures and best practices.
- Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
