Job Description
- Oversee daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to safety protocols.
- Manage inventory levels through regular audits and updates, reducing discrepancies and optimizing stock management.
- Lead and motivate warehouse staff, fostering a collaborative environment that enhances productivity and morale.
- Implement and monitor standard operating procedures (SOPs) for receiving, storing, and shipping products.
- Coordinate with procurement and logistics teams to streamline supply chain processes and enhance delivery schedules.
- Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) to track inventory and generate performance reports for management review.
- Train new employees on best practices, safety guidelines, and operational procedures to ensure a skilled workforce.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations to assess staff productivity and provide constructive feedback.
- Resolve operational issues swiftly by troubleshooting equipment malfunctions and addressing staff concerns.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, conducting periodic inspections and safety drills to maintain a secure work environment.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field, showcasing a solid educational foundation.
- A minimum of 5-8 years of experience in warehouse operations, demonstrating a thorough understanding of industry practices.
- Certifications in warehouse management or safety (e.g., OSHA, PMP) to highlight a commitment to professional development.
- Proficient in warehouse management systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office Suite, ensuring efficient data handling and reporting.
- Strong leadership abilities with a proven track record of team management and conflict resolution in a warehouse setting.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to facilitate clear interactions with staff and management.
- Detail-oriented mindset, capable of maintaining high accuracy in inventory management and operational procedures.
- Physical stamina and capability to lift heavy items, ensuring readiness to participate in hands-on tasks when needed.
