We are seeking a reliable and experienced Warehouse Supervisor to oversee daily warehouse operations within our grocery distribution center, focusing on raw, fresh, and frozen food items. The ideal candidate will manage inventory, ensure food safety compliance, supervise a warehouse team, and maintain efficient cold chain operations to meet supply and delivery schedules.
Description:
- Secures the materials supply to clients and divisions as requested as per delivery date.
- Enforces the WH operational policies & procedures and municipality regulations and to report any serious breaches of these rules and regulations to the Asst. Warehouse manager. Effectively manages on a daily basis the physical product flow in / out with ensuring the right time, quantity and quality. Controls on a daily basis all manual and automated transactions of all activities of issuing, receiving and distribution. Efficiently manages a daily supply programs by considering lowest total operation cost.
- Achieves targeted KPI of performance measurement and maintaining customer relationships
- Supervises all relevant procedures of requisitions to ensure proper and efficient processing and completion.
- Supervises all the warehouse operational staff in order to remove any work difficulties and increase the team loyalty and performance.
- Maintains the required stock reorder points by controlling the stock levels of all items.Ensures at all time that the stock is kept secure and rotated on First Expiry, first out basis “FEFO”.
- Supervises on a daily basis a random stock count auditing and reports any variance to Asst. WH manager. Inspects on daily basis the WH premises and assets condition to ensure smooth operation.
- Coordinates with Finance Division with the physical stocktaking and posting to the computer system, assists in preparing the reports which are required for financial verification.
- Operates the NCC ERP System related to Supply chain module and supervises/trains WH operational staff for using Supply Chain software and PDT machine.
- Produces regular operational reports and statistics on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
- Maintains standards of health and safety, hygiene and security in the work environment as outlined in the NCC IMS system.
- Ensures receiving / issuing of all document on the right time to / from clients or other departments of SC.
Frame work, boundaries and Decision Making Authority:
- Candidate will discharge the responsibilities within the policy guidelines and Instructions Given By the warehouse manager.
- Candidate’s recommendations are considered in the decision making process.
- Candidate takes decisions as per Chart of Authority and Policy.
Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum 6 years in warehouse operations, preferably in grocery/FMCG.
- Education: Bachelor's Bachelor’s degree Commerce.
Knowledge:
- Cold storage and food safety standards.
- Inventory management and WMS software.
- Material handling equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks).
Skills:
- Extensive in Inventory Software. Facilities management skills.
- High managerial skills and ability to analyze policies and procedures, and performance measurement.
