Role Purpose:

Senior Warehouse Supervisor will oversee warehouse operations within our fast-paced fashion apparel retail distribution center. This role is crucial in ensuring that all warehouse functions – including receiving, storage, inventory management, order fulfillment, and shipping – run efficiently and align with company standards and customer expectations. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership skills, a solid understanding of supply chain best practices, and previous experience in the fashion or retail sector.

Key responsibilities:

  • Manage inventory accuracy through monitoring of daily warehouse activities, cycle counts, stock take and audit of same to verify results.
  • Oversee all day-to-day warehouse operations, including receiving, put-away, picking, packing, and shipping of fashion merchandise.
  • Ensure merchandise is handled, stored, and shipped in accordance with company standards (e.g., SKU integrity, garment care).
  • Implement and maintain FIFO (First-In, First-Out) and other inventory methods suitable for fashion SKUs.
  • Manage, evaluate and report on warehouse productivity.
  • Check orders, bills, items received, inventory, and deliveries for accuracy.
  • Track and coordinate the receipt, storage, and timely delivery of goods and materials
  • Ensure basic maintenance standards and compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Establish, maintain and promote high standards of customer service.
  • Experience working within policies & procedures, and understanding of compliance.
  • Liaise with drivers, customers and warehouse personnel.
  • Administration of duties as required to ensure daily target performance is achieved.
  • Coordinate deliveries with carrier or Warehouse Deputy Manager and Warehouse Manager to ensure that daily targets are achieved.
  • Train and monitor staff in standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safe work practices, including new employee inductions and tool box talks.
  • Utilize Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
  • Liaise and coordinate with other departments, customers and shops to ensure exceptional services.

What we expect from you:

  • Minimum of 5 –7 years of warehouse or distribution experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or senior role.
  • Strong background in fashion retail or apparel distribution is required.
  • Experience with high SKU environments and seasonal inventory preferred.
  • Proficient in WMS, MS Office Suite, and inventory management software.
  • Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail.
