Job summary

DSV is a global leader in transport and logistics, and this Warehouse Operator position in Abu Dhabi supports inbound and outbound activities within contract logistics. You will ensure items tally with packing lists, perform put-away, and assist with stock checks.

We value safety, accuracy, and clear English communication; high school education and 1 year warehouse experience preferred. The role requires hands-on work on scanners, packing, labeling, and adhering to food safety standards.

Qualifications

• Education: High School.
• Work experience: 1 year warehouse operation preferred.
• Safety awareness and basic numerical skills required.
• English communication (read, write, speak) required.
• Familiarity with scanners and basic computer equipment.

Responsibilities

• Receive invoices and packing lists for inbound shipments and verify tally.
• Inform Team Leader of damages, shortages, or discrepancies observed.
• Fill MDN or other forms and highlight cases to Floor in Charge.
• Segregate items, scan if necessary, and put away in proper locations.
• Fill manual put away sheets and hand to Team Leader for verification.
• Accurately pick items for outbound shipments and verify against the pick list.
• Pack per specifications and attach labels as instructed by Supervisor.
• Assist Team Leader with stock checks, cycle counts, and related tasks.
• Adhere to DSV policies and food safety standards.
• Uphold hygiene standards per food safety management system.
• Elevate potential problems and opportunities for improvement to Team Leader.
• Perform other duties as assigned to meet business needs.

Warehouse Operator, Contract Logistics

Responsibilities

1. Receiving the invoice and packing list for inbound shipments and checking that the items tally.
2. Informing the Team Leader on any damages, short or over shipments and discrepancies observed in received items.
3. Filling the Materials Discrepancy Note (MDN) or other forms, filing the same and highlighting the case to the Floor in Charge.
4. Accurately segregating items, scanning if necessary, and carrying out put away in the proper locations to enable quick and effective retrieval.
5. Filling the manual put away sheets and handing them to the Team Leader for final verification and system confirmations.
6. Accurately picking items from locations for outbound shipments and checking that the items tally as per the pick list generated. Indicating all the details of items picked in the required format and if required, scan all items or re-check before loading.
7. Carrying out the packing as per specifications and paste necessary labels and stickers as instructed by the Supervisor.
8. Assisting the Team Leader in tasks like stock checks, cycle counts, etc. as may be assigned from time to time.
9. Adhering to DSV policies and procedures for all practices so that business is handled efficiently.
10. Proper storage of food materials and products as per food safety standards.
11. Adhere to the hygiene standards as per food safety management system.
12. Elevating potential problems, exceptions, and opportunities for improvement to Team Leader
13. Performing any other related duties/projects assigned by Team Leader from time to time to meet business exigencies.
