GAC Abu Dhabi is looking for candidates for the role of Warehouse Operative in its Contracts Logistics department, based in Abu Dhabi.

Job Responsibilities

The successful candidate will support the warehouse team in the physical handling of cargo movements. We seek a motivated and detail-oriented Warehouse Operative to join our dynamic team, supporting us in delivering customer strategy by providing quality service and ensuring customer satisfaction.

• Loading/unloading containers/trucks under the guidance of the Operations Team Leader
• Palletising cargo as necessary
• Performing general housekeeping related to assigned tasks
• Identifying product specifications as instructed by the Operations Team Leader
• Assisting in inventory checks
• Accompanying delivery trucks to unload cargo at customer premises, when needed
• Adhering to health and safety procedures during cargo handling

Additional Tasks

• Assisting with vehicle unloading and stock check-in
• Maintaining quality standards and completing tasks within scheduled timeframes
• Observing safe loading and unloading practices
• Sorting and placing materials on racks and shelves
• Ensuring minimal cargo damage and avoiding accidents
• Collecting items throughout the warehouse to prepare and complete orders for delivery or pickup
• Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards in the work environment
• Showing teamwork, honesty, and a collaborative approach in dealings with others

Job Requirements

• High School Diploma preferred
• Basic knowledge of English, both verbal and written
• Physical stamina for cargo handling under various temperature conditions
• Attention to detail and high standards
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
