Job description

Our client is a leading pharmaceutical company globally, looking to hire a Warehouse Manager based in Dubai at their plant location. The role will report into the Supply Chain Lead

ROLE CONTEXT & PURPOSE

In this role, the incumbent will be responsible for overseeing the efficient and compliant operation of warehouse activities in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. This includes inventory control, material handling, GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) compliance, personnel supervision, and coordination with production, QA, and supply chain, Safety teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Warehouse Operations Management:

Oversee receipt, storage, issuance, and dispatch of raw materials, packaging materials, intermediates, and finished goods.

  • Ensure proper segregation, labeling, and handling of pharmaceutical materials in line with GMP and GDP (Good Distribution Practices) standards.
  • Maintain warehouse layout for optimal storage and retrieval.
  • Regulatory Compliance & Documentation:
  • Ensure all operations comply with GMP, GDP, WHO, FDA, MHRA, or local regulatory authority standards.
  • Maintain up-to-date SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) and ensure team compliance.
  • Oversee documentation of all transactions, inventory movements, deviations, and audits.
  • Inventory & Material Control:
  • Monitor and maintain inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts and full physical stock takes.
  • Coordinate with procurement and production teams to manage stock levels and avoid shortages or overstock.
  • Implement FEFO/FIFO methods for inventory management.
  • Team Management:
  • Supervise and train warehouse staff on GMP practices, safety procedures, and SOPs.
  • Assign duties, monitor performance, and ensure efficient workforce utilization.
  • Safety & Quality Assurance:
  • Enforce warehouse safety standards and hygiene protocols.
  • Collaborate with Quality Assurance and Production departments to resolve quality issues.
  • Technology & Systems:
  • Manage ERP/SAP or eWMS (Warehouse Management System) for real-time inventory control.
  • Generate and analyze reports on warehouse KPIs.

CANDIDATE SPECIFICATION

EXPERIENCE + EXPOSURE + EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
  • Minimum 7–10 years of warehouse experience, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Strong knowledge of GMP/GDP requirements.
  • Experience with ERP/eWMS systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.).
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.

Knowledge, Key Skills & Competencies

  • Certification in Supply Chain (e.g., APICS, CPIM) or GMP training.
  • Experience with cold chain and controlled substance storage
  • Experience in Pharmaceutical industry
