Warehouse Management Officer
Job description
- Monitor and maintain accurate inventory records.
- Conduct regular physical inventory counts and reconcile with the warehouse management system.
- Manage stock levels and place orders to ensure adequate supplies.
Warehouse Operations:
- Oversee the receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods.
- Ensure that all warehouse processes, including picking, packing, and shipping, are carried out efficiently and accurately.
- Implement and maintain warehouse organization and layout to optimize space and streamline operations.
Staff Supervision:
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of warehouse staff.
- Train new employees on warehouse procedures and safety protocols.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to staff.
Safety and Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Conduct regular safety audits and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Equipment Management:
- Ensure proper maintenance and operation of warehouse equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and conveyor systems.
- Coordinate repairs and servicing of equipment as required.
Reporting:
- Prepare and submit regular reports on warehouse activities, inventory levels, and performance metrics.
- Analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Customer Service:
- Coordinate with sales and customer service teams to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
- Address and resolve any issues related to order discrepancies or delays.
