In this Warehouse Assistant II position
  • Under supervision receive goods, accurately sort, label and store goods ensuring optimization of warehouse space
  • Under supervision verify items against the record of shipment, and inspect condition for damages/ defects, update received and shipped items according to established procedures
  • Ensure proper routing of materials is maintained while transporting the materials between departments
  • Verify and pack items for shipment according to specifications and the applicable transportation method
  • Comply with established procedures to maintain and log the movement of incoming and outgoing materials and products
  • Perform order fulfilment based on customer requirements
  • Retrieve stored information, place orders or respond to enquiries such as inventory levels or delivery schedules
  • Resolve recurring issues faced during delivery as per defined processes, systems and methods
  • Undertake generally repetitive tasks related to movement, tools, and packaging (e.g. pickers and packers)
  • Pack items for shipment according to specifications
  • Under supervision receive goods, scan and verify items against the shipment record
  • Undertake generally repetitive tasks to consolidate transshipment and sorting activities (e.g. within sorting centers)
  • Under supervision support operate gas or electric powered forklift truck to move, stack, stage, load or unload materials, parts, finished goods, etc. and may use a hi-rise to load items in storage racks
  • Verify and process applicable documentation during package/ freight pick-up or arrival at warehouse
  • Under supervision operate a scanner to process all incoming and outgoing shipments
  • Comply with established procedures to arrange daily pick-up schedules and dispatch pick-up delivery information in a timely and efficient manner
  • Ensure forklifts and equipment are properly checked, used and maintained on a daily basis
  • Support general admin tasks related to shipment processing and documentation, sending status information and accepting/ securing over-the-counter payments
  • Answer basic queries from customer service and sales for shipment tracking and resolve issues related to misplaced shipments
  • Stay updated with the methods of use of all equipment and obtain related certifications for loading, unloading and material handling equipment

  • Explain facts, practices, policies, etc. to others within the organization adhering to narrowly defined procedures, standards and guidelines.
  • Support and interact primarily with colleagues of own team.
  • Communicate information that requires some explanation or interpretation.
  • Address task-related issues appropriately to maintain work relationships
