A leading hospitality company is seeking a dedicated server to provide exceptional service to guests. The role involves serving food and beverages, ensuring guest satisfaction, and maintaining cleanliness in work areas. POSITION SUMMARY
Serve food courses and alcoholic beverages to guests. Set tables according to the type of event and service standards. Answer questions on menu selections. Communicate with the kitchen regarding menu questions, wait times, recook orders, and product availability. Relay additional meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs, and special requests to the kitchen. Record transactions in the MICROS system at the time of order. Check in with guests to ensure satisfaction with each food course and/or beverage. Maintain cleanliness of work areas, including china and glassware, throughout the day. Complete closing duties such as restocking items and turning off lights. Present accurate checks to guests and process payments.
Follow all company, safety, and security policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to the manager; complete safety training and certifications. Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional, maintain confidentiality of proprietary information, and protect company assets. Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, anticipate and address guest service needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and thank guests with genuine appreciation. Communicate clearly and professionally with others. Develop and maintain positive working relationships with team members to reach common goals, and respond appropriately to colleagues' concerns. Ensure adherence to quality standards. Read and visually verify information in various formats (e.g., small print). Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods, or for an entire shift. Lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance, and objects over 50 pounds with assistance. Handle objects of varying size and weight requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination. Move over uneven or slippery surfaces, stairs, and ramps. Reach overhead and below knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping. Perform other reasonable duties as requested by supervisors.
