Job summary

The Meydan Hotel in Dubai is seeking a Waiter/Waitress to deliver service that meets our Food & Beverage standards. You will display strong salesmanship in upselling, coordinate with colleagues on guest requests, and demonstrate excellent product knowledge and etiquette.

Fluency in English is essential, and prior hospitality or F&B experience is valuable. The role requires teamwork, attention to detail, and the ability to handle guest requests with courtesy.

Qualifications

• Fluency in English is essential.
• Any job experience in the Hospitality sector and/or Food & Beverage department in a Lodge environment is valuable.
• Ability to lift heavy objects to complete duties.
• Ability to perform assigned duties with attention to detail, speed, accuracy, follow-through, courtesy, cooperativeness and work with a minimum of supervision.
• Strong guest-oriented services and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all Colleagues’ activities adhere to and support The Meydan Hotel Quality Standards.
• Provide a link between kitchen and service areas.
• Provide table and/or counter service of alcoholic/non-alcoholic beverages.
• Be updated with food and beverages knowledge required to carry out duties.
• Provide advice on food and beverages to guests.
• Receive and store food and beverages adhering to all food hygiene regulations and procedures.
• Consistently monitor quality of food and beverages being served and report to Outlet Manager or Outlet Team Leader.
• Actively use up-selling techniques to exceed guests’ expectations and increase revenue.
• Must have basic food and beverage knowledge.

Job Summary

The Waiter/Waitress will perform assigned tasks to The Meydan Hotel Food & Beverage standards, display good salesmanship in up-selling skills, coordinate with other Colleagues on special guest requests. Demonstrate excellent product knowledge, telephone skills and etiquette. Displays teamwork attitude toward all Colleagues. Communicate with guests and report guests’ feedback to the Team Leader and Manager to ensure high food and beverage, and service quality level is always maintained.
