The Meydan Hotel in Dubai is seeking an F&B Waiter to uphold our high Food & Beverage standards and deliver exceptional guest service. You will showcase up-selling skills, coordinate with colleagues on special requests, and demonstrate strong product knowledge and etiquette to ensure memorable experiences for every guest.

Fluency in English is essential; prior hospitality experience in a luxury setting is valued.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift heavy objects and assist guests with courtesy and speed.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all Colleagues’ activities adhere to and support The Meydan Hotel Quality Standards.
• Provide a link between kitchen and service areas.
• Be updated with food and beverages knowledge required to carry out duties.
• Provide advice on food and beverages to guests.
• Receive and store food and beverages adhering to all food hygiene regulations and procedures.
• Consistently monitor quality of food and beverages being served and report to Outlet Manager or F&B Team Leader.
• Actively use up-selling techniques to exceed guests’ expectations and increase revenue.
• Must have basic food and beverage knowledge.

Job Summary

The F&B Waiter will perform assigned tasks to The Meydan Hotel Food & Beverage standards, display good salesmanship in up-selling skills, coordinate with other Colleagues on special guest requests. Demonstrate excellent product knowledge, telephone skills and etiquette. Displays teamwork attitude toward all Colleagues. Communicate with guests and report guests’ feedback to the Team Leader and Manager to ensure high food and beverage, and service quality level is always maintained.

Skills, Experience & Educational Requirements

• Fluency in English is essential; any additional languages is preferable.
• Any job experience in the Hospitality sector and/or Food & Beverage department in a Lodge environment (preferably five star) is a valuable addition.
• Ability to lift heavy objects to complete duties and guest requests.
• Ability to perform assigned duties with attention to detail, speed, accuracy, follow-through, courtesy, cooperativeness and work with a minimum of supervision.
• Ability to have strong guest-oriented services and communication skills.
