Job Description

  1. Take food and beverage orders from guests via phone or in person.
  2. Deliver food and beverages to guest rooms promptly, ensuring accuracy and presentation.
  3. Set up and clear dining areas in guest rooms, ensuring cleanliness.
  4. Handle guest complaints or special requests professionally.
  5. Maintain knowledge of the menu, including specials and dietary needs.
  6. Process guest payments and handle transactions (cash/credit card).
  7. Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders.
  8. Ensure proper setup of trays, carts, and room service equipment.
  9. Restock and replenish room service items as needed.
  10. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the room service area.
  11. Assist with preparing condiments, utensils, and beverages for service.
  12. Ensure guests are satisfied and encourage feedback.
  13. Uphold hotel safety, hygiene, and food safety standards.

Qualifications

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in food service (room service experience preferred).
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of food and beverage offerings.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift trays and equipment (up to 25 pounds).
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
