The Waiter is responsible for the following tasks and others assigned by the department:

  • Work as a team to ensure timely service and smooth operation.
  • Adhere to hotel policies and SOPs regarding guest service, operation, discipline, and grooming.
  • Provide a warm, professional welcome and farewell to guests, maintaining impeccable appearance.
  • Prepare bills and follow procedures for payment collection.
  • Check out with your Supervisor before leaving your station.
  • Complete closing duties, including cleaning and restocking.
  • Know the hotel’s services and facilities to answer guest questions.
  • Follow safety policies to ensure a safe work environment.
  • Respond to work-related requests outside normal duties to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Maintain station standards at all times.
  • Develop menu knowledge.
  • Use POS equipment correctly following procedures.
  • Respect guest privacy when entering rooms.
  • Participate in training to improve skills and guest satisfaction.
  • Greet and communicate with guests professionally, answer phones appropriately.
  • Follow all instructions from supervisors and managers.
