Overview
To deliver prompt service to the Guests in the Outlets.
Responsibilities
- Take orders for and serve all food and beverage requests, using suggestive selling techniques.
- Clear tables during service.
- Control guest cheques and secure proper payment.
- Set up stations and tables to ensure they are complete and perform various relevant duties to the function as assigned by the Outlet Manager.
- Keep abreast of hotel products and services to answer guest questions and requests.
- Answer all guest questions/requests in a friendly and caring manner, take appropriate actions or if needed, refer the matter to the relevant persons to handle.
- Ensure that the Place of Work and surrounding area are kept clean and organized at all times.
- Have a thorough understanding and knowledge of all food and beverage items on the menu and the ability to recommend food and beverage combinations and upsell alternatives.
- To be able to perform any additional scope of duties if requested by the Manager.
- To attend the mandatory External and Internal training and follow the company training policy.
Job Specification
- Proven work experience as a waiter or waitress.
- Hands-on experience with cash register and ordering information system.
- Excellent presentation skills.
- Active listening and effective communication skills.
- Flexibility to work in shifts.
- High school diploma; food safety training is a plus.
