Job Description

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Serve food and beverages to guests according to prescribed service standards and procedures, emphasizing speed and accuracy.
  2. Serve all accompaniments and condiments along with the food.
  3. Maintain cleanliness and supply levels at the service station to ensure prompt and effective operation.
  4. Check all trays and trolleys, table complements, flatware, glassware, and linens to ensure they are clean and well set up.
  5. Familiarize with all menu items, including promotions and daily specials, their ingredients, preparation methods, portion sizes, and presentation to deliver optimal service and maximize guest satisfaction.
  6. Practice suggestive selling to boost food and beverage sales and increase guest satisfaction.
  7. Assist the Restaurant Captain with monthly and daily inventory of operating equipment.
  8. Attend pre-meal briefings, de-briefings, and other training sessions organized by the hotel.
  9. Process orders efficiently through POS, including forwarding orders to the kitchen and printing tickets.
  10. Confirm guest satisfaction and promptly report any complaints to the supervisor or manager.
  11. Report to the Restaurant Captain at the start of each shift for instructions, floor assignments, menu updates, and guest feedback.
  12. Report incidents, guest complaints, lost and found items, and damages to the Service Supervisor.
  13. Utilize up-selling techniques to generate higher revenue.
  14. Conduct cashiering operations, ensuring billing accuracy and providing quality service during transactions.
  15. Assist colleagues across departments to foster teamwork and success.
  16. Participate in hotel-organized meetings and training to enhance service skills and knowledge.
  17. Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor to ensure guest satisfaction and hotel profitability.

  1. Report to the shift Captain.
  2. Communicate effectively with guests regarding products and services.
  3. Coordinate with colleagues in service and kitchen departments.

Job Requirements

  1. Vocational diploma in any discipline.
  2. Minimum of 1 year experience in the hospitality industry; fresh graduates are welcome.
  3. Knowledgeable about various food and beverage offerings.
  4. Good English communication skills, both written and spoken.
  5. Pleasant personality with excellent interpersonal skills.
