About the job:
The Waiter will carry out operational tasks in the In Room Dining Department, serving food and beverages efficiently to ensure guest satisfaction, under the guidance of managers and supervisors.
Responsibilities include:
- Understanding and explaining the In Room Dining concept and menu offerings to guests.
- Completing mise en place and cleaning tasks to ensure efficient service.
- Operating POS systems to process orders.
- Delivering personalized service based on guest needs.
- Maintaining friendliness, courtesy, and efficiency in all interactions.
- Upselling services and products to enhance guest experience and revenue.
- Processing payments, including MOHG Gift cards and other methods.
- Ensuring dishes meet hotel standards and food specifications.
- Handling utensils and equipment properly, and assisting with stock management.
- Updating product knowledge regularly.
- Communicating guest preferences and allergies to the team.
- Supporting other outlets as needed.
- Performing additional tasks assigned by the management.
- Communicating effectively with colleagues and superiors.
- Being a proactive team player and supporting operational tasks.
- Observing guest cues to meet and exceed expectations.
- Maintaining a warm, friendly, and passionate attitude towards guests.
- Creating memorable moments to surprise and delight guests.
- Ensuring guest satisfaction throughout their experience, aligned with MOHG standards.
Candidate Requirements
- High School qualification or equivalent preferred.
- Higher education in Hospitality, Hotel, or Business Management preferred.
- Experience in high-volume, high-service environments preferred.
- Luxury hotel experience is advantageous.
- Minimum 2 years of waitstaff experience.
- Strong customer service skills and understanding of guest needs.
- Ability to work long hours with operational focus.
- Familiarity with POS and cashiering procedures preferred.
- Knowledge of Fine Dining and casual service standards preferred.
- Ability to multitask and understand service flow.
- Basic computer skills, including MS Office, preferred.
