About The Job

Based in the Food and Beverage Department at Mandarin Oriental Downtown, Dubai, as a Waiter/ess in our Lobby Lounge, you will provide exceptional dining experiences by taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring high standards of service. You will report to the F&B Supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Maintain knowledge of the Lounge menu, including light meals, beverages, and signature drinks; offer suggestions and answer guest questions.
• Take accurate orders, communicate clearly with kitchen and bar staff, and deliver orders promptly.
• Handle special requests or dietary needs professionally, informing management and kitchen staff as needed.
• Provide attentive, personalized service, upsell products, and ensure guest satisfaction from arrival to departure.
• Operate the POS system for billing and process transactions according to policies.
• Create memorable moments to delight guests, following MOHG Legendary Quality Experiences (LQES).

Qualifications

• A High School qualification or equivalent; a Degree or higher diploma in Hospitality/Hotel/Business Management is advantageous.
• Minimum 2 years experience as a Waiter/ess, preferably in a high-volume or luxury setting.
• Strong English communication skills; additional languages like Arabic are a plus.
• Knowledge of dining service procedures, POS systems, and cashiering.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with guests and colleagues.
• Physical ability to stand for long periods and flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
