Job summary

Mandarin Oriental Downtown Dubai is seeking a Waiter for the Breakfast Restaurant to deliver an exceptional dining experience. You will take orders, serve food and beverages, and ensure every aspect of the guest experience meets our standards.

The waiter reports to the F&B Supervisor. Ideal candidates have at least 2 years in luxury dining, strong English communication, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• High school qualification preferred; hospitality-related diploma is a plus.
• Minimum 2 years experience as a waiter in luxury dining.
• Familiar with fine dining service and POS/cashiering systems.
• Proficient in English; Italian language a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain in-depth knowledge of the menu, buffet items, ingredients and preparation methods to confidently inform and assist guests.
• Accurately take and deliver food and beverage orders ensuring prompt service and attention to dietary needs or special requests.
• Provide personalised attentive service throughout the dining experience to ensure guest satisfaction and uphold brand standards.
• Operate POS systems efficiently for order processing and follow billing and cashiering procedures accurately.
• Set and clear tables to maintain a clean welcoming dining space and manage multiple tables while maintaining service quality.
• Support upselling efforts collaborate across outlets and create memorable guest experiences aligned with MOHG Legendary Quality Experiences.

Requirements

• High school qualification preferred; degree or diploma in Hospitality, Hotel, or Business Management is an advantage.
• Minimum 2 years experience as a waiter/waitress, preferably in high-volume or luxury dining environments.
• Familiarity with fine dining and casual service standards, as well as restaurant POS and cashiering systems.
• Proficient verbal and written communication skills in English; additional languages such as Italian are preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to multitask, prioritize, and maintain service flow in a fast-paced setting.
• Physical stamina to stand for long periods and flexibility to work varied shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
