Our client, a leading engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) company, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Procurement Engineer to join their team. This is a full-time, permanent position based at our client's headquarters.

As a Senior Procurement Engineer, you will play a crucial role in managing the procurement process for our EPC projects. You will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing materials, equipment, and services required for the successful execution of our projects. You will work closely with project managers, engineers, and vendors to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of goods and services.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and implement procurement strategies for EPC projects
  2. Identify potential suppliers and maintain relationships with existing vendors
  3. Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers to ensure the best value for the company
  4. Manage the procurement process from sourcing to delivery, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of materials, equipment, and services
  5. Review and analyze project requirements to determine the most suitable procurement method
  6. Monitor and track supplier performance, ensuring compliance with contract terms and delivery schedules
  7. Collaborate with project managers and engineers to identify potential cost-saving opportunities and implement them
  8. Conduct market research and stay updated on industry trends and pricing to ensure competitive procurement
  9. Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards in all procurement activities
  10. Mentor and train junior procurement staff as needed
Qualifications:
  1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
  2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement for EPC projects
  3. Experience in the oil and gas, petrochemical, or power generation industry is preferred
  4. Strong negotiation and contract management skills
  5. In-depth knowledge of procurement processes and best practices
  6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  7. Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  8. Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite
  9. Professional certification (e.g. CIPS) is a plus
