Job summary

flydubai seeks a seasoned IT leader to shape and execute a robust IT strategy that accelerates digital transformation across the airline. You will guide enterprise architecture, portfolio governance, and vendor relationships while building an IT operating model aligned to corporate goals.

You will champion an innovation ecosystem with academia and startups, develop in-house IT talent, and ensure programs deliver value within time and budget constraints in a fast-moving aviation environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field.
• Fluent in English with 15+ years IT experience, including 10+ years in leadership.
• Proven track record in IT strategy, architecture and portfolio governance.
• Experience driving innovation programmes and managing partnerships.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of a three-year rolling IT strategy aligned with Flydubai's plan.

MAIN OBJECTIVE OF ROLE

To lead the development of the I amp T operating model accelerating the digital business with agility speed and innovation by coordinating with the business to develop a robust IT strategy managing enterprise architecture IT portfolio and vendor contracts

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Leads the development of the continuous three-year rolling business IT strategy aligned with the flydubai corporate strategy building a strategic roadmap investment plans and a strategic IT portfolio Oversees the design and implementation of the I amp T operating model partnering with enterprise business in delivering digital transformation initiatives Develops a robust selection framework amp processes such as ITIL COBIT PMI Scrum SaFe agile and DevSecOps that will be used to deliver the required IT capabilities Collaborates with the business in identifying strategic business use cases engaging with the technology partners to conduct proof of value and enhance the airline s digital transformation initiatives Provides leadership and develops the Enterprise Architecture practice within IT adhering to the architecture principles and standards reusability and cost optimization taking a holistic approach and focusing on the big picture Provides leadership and oversees the governance of the IT Portfolio Management seeking investment approvals functioning of project office and ensuring that projects are delivered to strict quality budget and time constraints Sources and develops strategic relationships with technology partners that foster an innovation ecosystem within IT extending professional services to develop in-house skills on emerging technologies and develop innovative business solutions Assists in the development of training programs aimed at upskilling and managing IT talent encouraging creative recognition and reward programs nurturing top performers and promoting a culture of high performance with a focus on the UAE national development programme Focuses on developing the IT innovation eco system initiative which aims to launch flydubai s Innovation Lab This includes creating strategic partnerships with universities Dubai-based Innovation Labs and start-ups accelerators presenting business problems and challenges to start-ups and universities and selecting start-up partners based on proof of value PoV which incubate technology-led innovative solutions leading to successful product implementation Ensures vendor products are aligned with flydubai architecture standards with a focus on continuous improvements and application modernization initiatives to eliminate reduce technology debt and ensure the IT landscape is future-proof

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's Degree (3+ years) Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field Fluent in English 15+ years experience across diverse IT functions, including 10+ years in IT leadership roles within a large multinational organisation, preferably in the airline industry. Proven experience developing and executing IT strategy, architecture, and project portfolio governance. Experience in developing and leading innovation programmes within a large corporate environment. Experience in developing innovation eco system and managing strategic partnerships. Experience leading talent management and development programmes within an IT function.
