Job summary

Fly Dubai Limited in Dubai invites a seasoned Flight Data Monitoring specialist to help identify hazards and improve safety by analyzing aircraft operational data.

You will monitor flight data to ensure compliance, coordinate with stakeholders, generate trend reports and support safety investigations; the role also includes system administration for FDM and SMS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in aviation-related discipline is required.
• Fluent English is essential; additional languages are a plus.
• Experience with Flight Data Monitoring systems is required.
• Knowledge of GE FDM system is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor flight data to ensure operations comply with Flydubai standards and procedures.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure FDM system issues are resolved.
• Generate FDM trend reports and contribute to safety newsletters.
• Analyze flight data to identify gaps and share findings with stakeholders.
• Recommend process improvements to optimize FDM reporting and analytics.
• Coordinate with internal/external parties to resolve FDM issues and roll out updates.
• Participate in flight replay briefs for crew and advise on FDM events.
• Support safety investigations with relevant flight data summaries.
• Collate safety performance data for SRB/SAG reviews.
• Serve as system administrator for FDM and SMS applications.

Job description

MAIN OBJECTIVE OF ROLE

To assist in identification and mitigation of underlying hazards and risks through the collection processing analysis and archival of aircraft operational data

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Monitors flight data to identify instances where flight operations are not in accordance with all applicable flydubai requirements standards and procedures
• Ensures the effective operation of the Flight Data Monitoring (FDM) system by coordinating with relevant stakeholders to resolve system issues
• Generates timely FDM trend analysis reports and co-authors the FDM safety newsletters to support safety awareness and operational improvement
• Analyses flight data to identify filter and distribute any gaps or issues and shares relevant findings with stakeholders for review and resolution
• Recommends processes or policy improvements to optimise FDM reporting and analytics
• Coordinates with internal and external parties to ensure that the FDM are resolved efficiently and works with them to develop and rollout any updates
• Participates in flight replay and brief for flight crew on FDM related events and provides guidance and recommendations on any issues discovered
• Supports safety investigations by providing any relevant Flight data summaries highlighting key events trends and parameters for review
• Collates safety performance data and prepares a draft for review at Safet Review Board (SRB) and Safety Action Group (SAG) meetings
• Acts as the system administrator for assigned safety applications including but not limited to the FDM and Safety Management System (SMS) ensuring user access system records and data are maintained

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's Degree (3+ years)
• Bachelor s degree in an aviation-related discipline
• Fluent in English (other languages an advantage)
• Flight Data Monitoring experience.
• Knowledge of GE FDM system.
• Years with qualifications: 5 - 7 years, Years without qualifications (if applicable): 7 - 9 years
