Job summary

DISCOVERED in Abu Dhabi is seeking a senior, hands-on data transformation leader to drive the governance, quality, lineage, and metadata management of enterprise data for AI and analytics at scale.

You will own the roadmap, partner with Data Science, Technology, and Governance teams, and champion modern data practices to unlock AI delivery at speed and scale.

Qualifications

• Significant experience leading complex data transformation programmes in large enterprise environments.
• Strong expertise in data governance, data quality, lineage, metadata management, master data management, and data products.
• Deep understanding of modern data platforms, architectures, and enterprise data management.
• Knowledge of data requirements underpinning AI/ML, including data quality, feature engineering, model governance, and scalable AI delivery.
• Experience applying AI/ML to data management, e.g., automated lineage discovery, metadata extraction, or data quality assessment.
• Proven leadership and stakeholder management across business and technology functions.

Responsibilities

• Define and deliver the organisation’s data transformation roadmap to support AI and analytics at scale.
• Drive adoption of modern data management practices across governance, quality, lineage, metadata, master data, and data products.
• Use AI, automation, and metadata-driven approaches to modernise data governance and quality processes.
• Identify and remove data and organisational bottlenecks affecting AI/analytics delivery.
• Establish scalable data transformation frameworks, standards, governance processes, and execution plans.
• Collaborate with Data Science, Technology, Architecture, Governance, and business teams to improve enterprise data maturity.

We’re partnering with a leading financial services organisation in Abu Dhabi that is investing significantly in its AI and data capabilities.

This is a senior, hands-on position focused on transforming how data is governed, managed, and made available for AI and analytics across the organisation. You’ll own strategic data transformation initiatives while working across Data, AI, Technology, Architecture, and Governance teams.

The role is particularly focused on using AI to transform traditional data management, automating areas such as data quality, governance, lineage, and metadata management to enable AI initiatives to move into production faster and at greater scale.

Define and deliver the organisation’s data transformation roadmap, ensuring data capabilities can support AI and analytics at scale.

Drive the adoption of modern data management practices across governance, data quality, lineage, metadata, master data, and data products.

Use AI, automation, and metadata-driven approaches to modernise traditionally manual data governance and quality processes.

Identify and remove data and organisational bottlenecks that impact the delivery of AI and analytics initiatives.

Establish scalable data transformation frameworks, standards, governance processes, and execution plans.

Partner closely with Data Science, Technology, Architecture, Governance, and business teams to improve enterprise-wide data maturity.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
