Job summary

Chalhoub Group invites a Creative Visual Merchandising Trainee to join Tryano in Abu Dhabi. This highly hands-on role sits on the shop floor and stockroom, bringing luxury brands and campaigns to life through merchandise placement, displays, and activations.

You will collaborate with brand teams, marketing and suppliers, ensuring brand standards are met while learning VM craft in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• UAE National with a Family Book.
• Interest or background in Visual Merchandising, Fashion, Interior Design, Spatial Design, Creative Arts, Retail.
• Interest in luxury retail and creating engaging physical customer experiences.
• Comfort in a physically active environment.
• Strong communication and coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Support daily Visual Merchandising execution and maintain brand standards on the store floor.
• Prepare, organize and reposition merchandise across the shop floor with the team.
• Assist with displays, installations, podiums and marketing activations.
• Work across Fashion, Beauty, Footwear and shop-in-shop concepts.
• Follow brand guidelines, deadlines and VM requirements.
• Coordinate with external suppliers during installations and execution.
• Support owned brands and shop-in-shop brand partners.
• Support Marketing to translate campaign concepts into in-store experiences.
• Build relationships with brand teams and understand their identities in-store.
• Adapt quickly as campaigns and brand requirements change.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Visual Merchandising Trainee at Tryano, you'll gain hands‑on experience bringing luxury brands, products and campaigns to life within the physical retail environment.

This is an active, operational role where no two days are exactly the same. You'll work across the shop floor, stockroom, brand installations and marketing activations.

Visual Merchandising is not only about styling. It combines creativity with commercial awareness, physical execution, coordination and strong attention to detail.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Support daily Visual Merchandising execution and maintain individual brand standards across the store.

• Prepare, organize and reposition merchandise across the shop floor with the team.

• Assist with displays, installations, podiums and marketing activations.

• Work across different categories including Fashion, Beauty, Footwear and shop‑in‑shop concepts.

• Follow brand guidelines, deadlines and individual VM requirements.

• Coordinate with external suppliers during installations and execution.

• Support both owned brands and shop‑in‑shop brand partners.

• Support Marketing to translate campaign concepts into engaging physical in‑store experiences.

• Build relationships with brand teams and understand how their individual identities translate into the store environment.

• Adapt quickly as commercial priorities, campaigns and brand requirements change.

This is a highly hands‑on role based in Abu Dhabi in Tryano. The role is primarily shop‑floor and stockroom based rather than desk‑based.

What You’ll Need to Succeed

We're looking for someone who is creative but equally excited by the hands‑on, operational side of Visual Merchandising.

You will ideally bring:

• UAE National with a Family Book.

• An interest or background in Visual Merchandising, Fashion, Interior Design, Spatial Design, Creative Arts, Retail, or a related field.

• A genuine interest in luxury retail, brands and creating engaging physical customer experiences.

• A proactive and responsive mindset with strong follow‑through.

• Comfort working in a physically active environment, including moving products and VM materials.

• Strong communication and coordination skills.

• Commercial curiosity and an interest in understanding how Visual Merchandising supports customer experience and business performance.

• Reliability, a positive attitude and openness to feedback while developing greater independence.

Previous Visual Merchandising experience isn't the most important part of this opportunity. We're looking for someone with the attitude, reliability and curiosity to learn the craft, while being ready to get involved and bring ideas to life on the shop floor.
