Job summary

Harvey Nichols UAE (Al Tayer Insignia) seeks a Visual Merchandising Associate to implement VM strategy, install windows and in-store displays, and merchandise products to brand standards.

The role requires a graduate in arts with 2-3 years of VM/merchandising experience, strong laptop/retail software skills, and flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and night shifts in a luxury retail environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate in any discipline with tertiary qualifications in fine or commercial arts.
• 2-3 years’ experience in VM/merchandising.
• Proficient with computer systems and retail software.

Responsibilities

• To display merchandise in a compelling manner ensuring the brand standards are maintained.
• Check that stock is steamed, properly tagged and priced as per brand standards & visual guidelines.
• Work closely with Buying and Commercial functions to launch seasonal activations in a timely and cost effective manner, install and merchandise all display props as per approved concept whilst creating an enticing display for our customers.
• Adapt brand driven concepts in line with store and mall guidelines.
• Use business approved checklist to ensure correct POS is being utilized and the highest possible standards are being maintained.
• Monitor slow and fast sellers and communicate observations to the Visual merchandiser with suggestions and recommendations for appropriate actions.
• Support with the maintenance of all display equipment and materials used for in store displays, mannequins, windows and podiums. Ensure all items are carefully dismantled, packed and stored for future use.
• Attend training sessions conducted by brands and the buying team to ensure display standards are maintained, photograph store for feedback & brand reports when requested.
• Conduct VM training sessions with the shop floor teams.
• Keep up to date with the latest seasonal trends and conduct regular comparative shops for inspiration and new merchandising ideas/concepts.
• Oversee quotations process, production and execution of set ups by internal team and/or external contractors.
