The Department of Electrical Engineering (ELE) in the College of Engineering at the American University of Sharjah (AUS) invites applications for a Visiting Faculty Position starting in August 2026 (Fall).
Area: Open to all areas of Electrical Engineering
The position primarily focuses on teaching and is a one-year renewable contract. Applicants should have a PhD in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field. Evidence of excellence in teaching is required, and experience within the American higher education model is highly desirable.

Programs offered include a Bachelor of Science in Intelligent Systems and Mechatronics Engineering, a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering, and a joint PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering.
AUS is located in Sharjah, about 15 km from Dubai. It is an independent, not-for-profit, coeducational university serving around 5,000 students. The university's programs are accredited by the UAE Ministry of Education and the Middle States Commission on Higher Education in the USA.
