The Visa Implementation Services (VIS) Consulting Director will be a key member of the Visa Consulting & Analytics (VCA) organization, working across Central & Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa (CEMEA). The role involves contributing to the commercial traction, product development, and thought leadership within the VIS practice areas. Additionally, the director will deliver subject matter expertise and consulting support to VISA's key clients across regions. The main objective is to define and execute VIS’s mandate, deepen client relationships, and optimize client performance.
Principal Responsibilities / Key Results Area
- Develop VIS’s offerings by identifying collaboration opportunities and creating integrated go-to-market strategies with internal stakeholders (e.g., Value-Added Services, Client Services) to drive business objectives.
- Collaborate with VCA colleagues, Visa account executives, and other Visa functions to identify focus areas and manage a pipeline of engagement opportunities.
- Lead or serve as a subject matter expert on consulting engagements across practice areas (portfolio, digital, risk), including analyzing client needs using VISA and external data to identify opportunities for VIS assignments.
- Support and contribute to sales pitches for VIS.
- Participate in internal problem-solving sessions and client discussions.
- Assist in project deliveries, both in coordination and execution roles.
- Manage large VCA programs focused on VIS workstreams.
- Work closely with other VISA groups (Products, BD, Risk, Marketing, Digital Solutions) to ensure a seamless consulting experience.
This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in the office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.
Basic Qualifications
- 10+ years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree, or at least 7 years with an advanced degree (e.g., Masters, MBA, JD, MD), or 4 years with a PhD, or 13+ years of relevant work experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- 12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree, or 8-10 years with an advanced degree, or 6+ years with a PhD.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent; Master’s degree preferred.
- At least 15 years of overall work experience.
- Minimum 7 years of solid experience in payments, preferably gained within a top-tier bank or financial services practice of a top-tier consulting firm.
- At least 5 years of management consulting experience with strong client engagement skills.
- Regional and global experience is desirable.
- Strong project management skills and fluency in communication.
- Diplomatic skills for working in multi-functional environments and achieving desired outcomes.
- Comfortable presenting to senior management of clients and VISA.
- Highly analytical with advanced PowerPoint and Excel skills.
- Results-driven, flexible, and customer-focused.
- Able to travel frequently and work on client sites.
- Self-motivated with initiative and limited need for supervision.
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills across interdisciplinary groups.
