Overview

The American University in the Emirates (AUE) is seeking a talented and creative Videographer to capture and produce compelling video content that promotes the University’s identity, academic excellence, campus life and achievements. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in video production, post-production and content creation for digital platforms. This role involves planning, shooting and editing video material to support AUE’s marketing, institutional events and engagement efforts.

Note: Applications must include a portfolio; submissions without one will not be considered.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan film and edit video content in alignment with event schedules and project briefs.
• Ensure proper operation and maintenance of all filming equipment.
• Edit and deliver videos in accordance with timelines and quality expectations.
• Collaborate with marketing and internal stakeholders to develop storyboards, shot lists and production plans.
• Operate DSLR and digital cinema cameras, lighting rigs and audio equipment for professional-quality results.
• Execute on-site video shoots ensuring excellent framing, lighting and sound quality.
• Integrate graphics, text overlays, animations and visual effects to enhance videos.
• Maintain an organized and easily accessible video archive and media library.
• Coordinate with the social media team to ensure videos are submitted on time and aligned with the digital strategy.
• Ensure all content follows AUE branding guidelines and reflects the University’s values.
• Stay updated with trends and innovations in video production and media technologies.
• Provide video coverage for all major university events including conferences, graduations and ceremonies.
• Support advancement and fundraising activities by creating compelling content to engage and attract donors.
• Foster and maintain relationships with current and prospective donors through engaging video storytelling.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor or management.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelors degree in Mass Communication, Media Production or a related field from an accredited institution.
• 24 years of proven experience in videography, editing and post-production.
• Strong professional portfolio demonstrating creative and high-quality video work.

Skills & Competencies

• Advanced skills in video editing software: Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve.
• Proficiency with DSLR and digital cinema cameras, lighting and audio recording equipment.
• Skilled in audio editing and post-production.
• Knowledge of storytelling techniques and creative marketing content.
• Strong attention to detail, time management and project execution skills.
• Up-to-date with the latest trends in videography and social media video formats.
• Filipino language proficiency is required.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple assignments.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Salary: AEDper month (based on experience and portfolio)
