We are looking for a qualified and experienced Vice Principal who demonstrates high levels of turnaround leadership competencies to start sooner. This role is for an exceptional leader with a proven track record and is an exciting career advancement opportunity. This position requires a dynamic and passionate individual to assist the Principal and to support the senior leadership team in all aspects of school improvement, related to teaching, learning, and assessments. Prior exposure working in a similar senior leadership role with reputed schools in UAE and knowledge of DSIB framework is a must, to be considered for this position.


Key Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To


  • Upholding the vision & mission of the school and to support the School Principal to take the school to the next level.
  • To ensure that all students are supervised in a safe learning environment.
  • Drive enrichment and having exposure in implementation of National curriculum requirements and related assessment and certification requirements in all phases.
  • Foster a learning environment leading to continuous improvement in academic excellence and holistic education.
  • Contribute to the strategic leadership of the school as a member of the Senior Leadership Team.
  • To effectively utilize and maintain facilities in order to provide an appropriate learning environment and reasonable health and safety considerations for students and staff.
  • Contributing to the school improvement plans, self-evaluation of the teaching and learning within the school.
  • Supervise the instructional programs of the school, evaluating lesson plans and observing classes on a regular basis.
  • Able to demonstrate a comprehensive and confident knowledge of best practice pedagogy in the school.
  • Supervise in a fair and consistent manner effective discipline and attendance systems with high standards, consistent with the philosophy, values, and mission of the school.
  • Display the highest ethical and professional behavioral standards when working with students, parents, and all stakeholders.
  • Develop innovative, engaging, and challenging learning designs that actively boost the competency and capabilities of the leadership team.
  • Encourage alignment of Teaching, Learning and Assessment practices with instructional and delivery methods to meet performance improvement standards.
  • Imbibe and enhance UAE culture in the school in line with the guidelines and regulations of the National Agenda Parameter.
  • Oversee the learning strategies, to ensure high levels of team member engagement and commitment to new initiatives.
  • Liaise with the Curriculum and Assessment team to provide up-to-date information on curriculum development & triangulation of data; progress and attainment in all performance indicators.
  • Prepare all supporting information for the KHDA inspections & audits as advised by the Principal and liaise with the school governing body and DSIB inspectors as necessary.
  • Leadership and performance management of staff.
  • Protect confidentiality of records and information gained as part of exercising professional duties and use discretion in sharing such information within legal confines.

To Be Considered For This Role, Candidate Must Be


  • An effective and dynamic leader with a minimum of 5+ years of overall experience in education, and over 3+ years in an education leadership role in a CBSE curriculum school holding a Masters degree in an education-related field. Preference will be given to candidates who have prior experience leading the secondary wing of a CBSE curriculum school.
  • Experienced in developing teacher's skills and competencies through sustained school improvement plans and continuous professional development training.
  • Proven track record in development, design, and execution of learning and development training programs and delivery of live and online workshops.
  • A thought leader in learning leadership, keeping abreast of industry trends to ensure best-in-class solutions.
  • Able to demonstrate a commitment to inclusion.
  • UAE school experience of the DSIB Inspection Frameworks.
  • Strong decision-making skills & Team building skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and be solution-oriented in high-stress situations.
  • Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
