Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Logistics, or related field.

• End-to-end supply chain management experience in complex/project-driven organisations.

Black Pearl Consult is currently seeking anexperienced Head of Supply Chain for a senior leadership opportunitywith an established organisation in the UAE.

This position is suited to a commerciallydriven supply chain professional with extensive experience in strategicprocurement, sourcing, contract management, logistics and operational planning.

The successful candidate will beresponsible for developing and executing supply chain strategies, improvingoperational performance, optimising costs and strengthening supplierrelationships. The role requires strong leadership capabilities, financial understandingand the ability to manage complex supply chain activities across multiplebusiness functions.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement supply chain strategies aligned withbusiness objectives, operational requirements and financial targets.
  
• Lead procurement, strategic sourcing, contract management andsupplier relationship activities across major business requirements andprojects.
  
• Oversee procurement planning, logistics coordination, inventorymanagement and supplier delivery performance to ensure operationalefficiency.
  
• Drive cost optimisation initiatives through effectivenegotiations, expenditure management, process improvements and supplierpartnerships.
  
• Establish and monitor supply chain performance indicators,operational controls and reporting frameworks to improve efficiency andaccountability.
  
• Manage procurement budgets, financial planning and expenditureforecasts while ensuring effective resource allocation and cost control.
  
• Identify and manage commercial, operational, supplier andcontractual risks, ensuring compliance with internal policies andapplicable regulations.
  
• Support the implementation and improvement of ERP, digitalprocurement and supply chain management systems.
  
• Collaborate with Finance, Operations, Engineering and otherdepartments to ensure alignment between supply chain activities andbusiness priorities.
  
• Develop and strengthen supplier evaluation, contractnegotiation and performance management processes.
  
• Prepare performance reports, financial assessments andstrategic recommendations for senior management.
  
• Lead, mentor and develop the supply chain team, promotingoperational excellence, responsible sourcing and continuous improvement.
  

Requirements

What We Are Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering,Logistics, Business Administration or a related discipline. A postgraduatequalification is an advantage.
  
• Extensive experience in supply chain management, procurement,logistics or commercial operations, including substantial experience in asenior management or leadership capacity.
  
• Proven experience managing end-to-end supply chain functionswithin complex, project-driven or operationally intensive organisations.
  
• Strong background in strategic sourcing, procurement planning,supplier negotiations, contract management and vendor performance.
  
• Experience managing significant procurement expenditure,budgets, cost-reduction programmes and financial forecasts.
  
• Practical understanding of inventory optimisation, logisticsmanagement and supply chain planning.
  
• Familiarity with ERP systems, procurement technology anddigital supply chain solutions.
  
• Demonstrated ability to manage commercial risks, strengthengovernance and improve operational processes.
  
• Strong analytical, financial, negotiation andstakeholder-management skills.
  
• Experience developing high-performing teams and managingcross-functional business relationships.
  
• Ability to communicate effectively with senior leadership andpresent commercially sound recommendations.
  
• Experience working in the UAE or wider GCC market would be anadvantage.
