Job summary

Jefferies is seeking a senior restructuring professional to lead execution of high-stakes mandates in the Middle East and broader EMEA. You will manage multi-disciplinary teams, develop sophisticated financial models and present to boards and clients.

You will work with financial institutions, sovereign-related entities and sponsors, driving origination, market coverage and successful transactional outcomes.

Qualifications

• 6–10+ years of relevant experience in investment banking, restructuring advisory or related professional services.
• Strong transaction experience across restructuring advisory, special situations, leveraged finance or debt advisory.
• Excellent financial modelling, valuation and analytical skills.
• Strong understanding of debt products, capital structures, credit markets and restructuring solutions.
• Proven ability to manage multiple workstreams and transact in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience interacting with senior management, boards, lenders and investors.
• Exceptional presentation, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong leadership capabilities with experience developing junior team members.

Responsibilities

• Lead restructuring, refinancing, recapitalisation and distressed M&A mandates across the Middle East and broader EMEA region.
• Manage all aspects of transaction execution including financial analysis and due diligence.
• Develop and review complex financial models, liquidity analyses and valuation materials.
• Prepare high-quality client presentations, board materials and transaction documentation.
• Collaborate with corporate clients, financial institutions, sovereign-related entities and creditors.
• Support MDs in business development, market coverage and origination activities.
• Identify and evaluate new restructuring opportunities across the region.
• Lead and mentor Analysts and Associates to ensure high-quality work.
• Coordinate with external advisers, lenders and investors throughout processes.

• Prepare high-quality client presentations, strategic reviews, board materials and transaction documentation.
• Work closely with corporate clients, financial institutions, sovereign-related entities, private equity sponsors and creditor groups.
• Support Managing Directors in business development efforts, market coverage and origination activities.
• Identify and evaluate new restructuring and special situations opportunities across the region.
• Lead and mentor Analysts and Associates, ensuring high-quality work product and professional development.
• Coordinate effectively with legal advisers, accounting firms, lenders, investors and other external stakeholders throughout transaction processes.

Requirements

• 6-10+ years of relevant experience within an investment bank, restructuring advisory practice, financial advisory firm or leading professional services organisation.
• Strong transaction experience across restructuring advisory, special situations, leveraged finance, debt advisory or corporate finance.
• Excellent financial modelling, valuation and analytical skills.
• Strong understanding of debt products, capital structures, credit markets and restructuring solutions.
