Job Description

Our client is looking for a Vice President of Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) to lead their global M&A efforts within the technology sector. This person will be responsible for sourcing, evaluating, structuring, and executing acquisitions that align with the company’s growth strategy.

The ideal candidate should have deep experience in tech M&A, financial structuring (debt/equity), and stakeholder management across private equity firms, family offices, and venture capital investors.

Key Responsibilities

Identify potential acquisition targets globally.

Build relationships with founders, investment bankers, PE/VC firms, and other key players.

Conduct market analysis, competitor research, and business model assessments.

Lead the entire deal process, from valuation to negotiations and structuring.

Oversee financial, legal, and operational due diligence.

Develop financial models to support valuation and decision-making.

Lead debt and equity financing efforts for acquisitions.

Work with private equity, venture capital firms, and family offices for funding.

Optimize capital allocation strategies with finance and treasury teams.

Stakeholder Management & Leadership

Act as the key liaison between founders, management teams, investors, and executive leadership.

Present deal updates and strategic insights to the board.

Lead cross-functional teams to execute M&A deals efficiently.

Ideal Candidate Profile

10+ years of experience in M&A within the tech sector (corporate development, investment banking, private equity, or VC).

Strong track record in cross-border M&A, including deal origination, valuation, structuring, and integration.

Experience in debt/equity financing for acquisitions.

Excellent financial modeling and valuation skills.

Strong negotiation and stakeholder management abilities.

Global deal experience with knowledge of multiple jurisdictions and regulatory landscapes.

Preferred Qualifications

MBA, CFA, or CPA is a plus.

Strong existing network in the tech M&A ecosystem.
