Job description

Key Accountabilities:

Policies, Processes & Procedures:

  • Develops and oversees the implementation of divisional policies, procedures and controls covering all areas of divisional activity so that all relevant procedural/legislative requirements are fulfilled while delivering a quality, cost-effective service to customers.
  • Device and implement controls to ensure no violation of ISR regulations in order to protect the company information / intellectual properties.

Budget:

  • Oversees the consolidation and recommends the IT budget and monitors financial performance versus the budget so that the business is aware of anticipated costs/revenues, areas of unsatisfactory performance are identified, and potential areas of cost reduction or performance improvement opportunities are capitalized upon.

Day- to-day operations:

  • Supervise the day-to-day operations of the Technology Centre to ensure that work processes are implemented as designed and comply with established policies, processes and procedures.

Operations Management:

  • Develop and execute the IT strategy aligned with the company’s overall business goals.
  • Drive the adoption of digital solutions and automation to streamline operations and improve service delivery.
  • Manage all IT operations including infrastructure, networks, software systems, cybersecurity, and support services.
  • Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of enterprise applications (ERP, CRM, HRMS, IFS etc.).
  • Implement best practices of IT governance, refine the process to meet the audit compliances, and supervise internal & external audits as necessary.
  • Conduct periodic analysis potential security lapses, evaluate new technologies, conduct proof of concepts (POC) and plan out implementations.
  • Organize periodic user reviews & satisfaction surveys.
  • Coordinate and direct projects, resource needs, and market demand, to plan and deliver projects on-time and within budget.
  • Liaise with stakeholders as deemed for discussion on project matters and resolve issues.
  • Oversee department manpower, various other resource requirements and ensure optimum use of the same by ensuring cost control is exercised throughout the year.
  • Oversee employee recruitment, training, performance evaluation, retention and termination activities.
  • Provide on the job training to the subordinates, conduct performance assessments and carry out succession planning within the Department.
  • Establishing security requirements, security designs and implementing strategies and solutions accordingly.

Leadership:

  • Manages the effective achievement of IT division objectives through the leadership setting individual objectives, recruiting qualified staff, managing performance, developing and motivating staff, provision of formal and informal feedback and appraisal - in order to maximize subordinate and divisional performance.

Change Management:

  • Leads and directs the management of change through continuous improvement of divisional systems, processes and practices taking into account ‘international best practice’, changes in international standards and changes in the business environment which demand proactive action plans.

Experience/ Qualification & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology or equivalent.(Essential).
  • Master’s degree in relevant field.(Desirable)
  • Training in Information Security, Control Structures, Network Access & Security and Backup Systems.
  • Heading an IT Team in high value projects.

Technical Competencies

  • Broad knowledge in information technology and up-to-date with the latest technologies.
  • Excellent knowledge of technical management, information analysis and of computer hardware/software systems.
  • Expertise in data center management and data governance
  • Good knowledge of computer networks and it’s administration.
  • Strong background with resolution of technical issues during planning and execution phases.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects concurrently and meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to organize, prioritize and successfully execute tasks in accordance with business objectives.
  • Fully trained and knowledgeable with relevant Safety and Occupational Health & Safety standards.
  • Proven working experience as an IT manager or relevant experience in a large organization.
