Story Hospitality is an international hotel management company that currently owns and operates six hotels under two brands : Story Hotels & Resorts and CUE Hotels.

• Story Hotels & Resorts are positioned as five-star properties focused on modern, purposeful, and unconventional experiences.
• CUE Hotels cater to aspirational travellers, offering vibrant, socially engaging environments.

The company is a subsidiary of Abu Dhabi Capital Group LLC, giving it strong financial backing and the capacity for expansion. It aims to grow its owned brands aggressively within the next 5 years.

Story Hospitality currently operates in Dubai, Rabat, the Seychelles, and Montenegro, with a development pipeline focused on urban and resort locations in the MENA region.

Job Brief

The Vice President - Finance is responsible for leading and executing the company’s financial strategy, accounting, and treasury functions. As a core member of the Executive Leadership Team, they analyse business performance, identify key metrics, and drive strategic initiatives to improve profitability, pricing, occupancy, and overall efficiency.

Key responsibilities include :

• Strategic Financial Leadership : Develop financial strategy, lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning to meet ROI targets.
• Business and Asset Analysis : Collaborate with leadership colleagues to assess business performance and implement corrective actions through monthly reviews.
• Capital Projects & Investment Support : Oversee capex, FF&E planning, and feasibility studies. Support due diligence, structuring, and negotiations for acquisitions and investments.
• Financial Oversight & Compliance : Ensure robust financial systems, internal controls, audits, and timely financial reporting across all entities.
• Team Leadership : Mentor and guide finance teams across properties, fostering development and high performance as the company grows.
• Operational Efficiency : Drive automation and process improvements to enhance efficiency and bottom-line results.
• Stakeholder Communication : Maintain key relationships with banks, auditors, legal teams, and shareholders; present financials to owners and boards.
• Legal & Insurance Oversight : Act as legal liaison, oversee contracts, insurance, and employee benefit plans.

This role blends strategic vision with hands-on operational execution to ensure financial integrity, regulatory compliance, and value creation across the company’s portfolio.

Candidate Attributes and Credentials

The ideal candidate is a qualified accountant with academic credentials in accounting, finance, or a related business field, and extensive financial experience in the hospitality sector. Prior work in a high-service, customer-facing business, preferably in the Middle East, is highly desirable.

They should have up-to-date knowledge of the Uniform System of Accounts, be familiar with private equity-related tax and structuring issues, and demonstrate strong capability across all core financial functions : treasury, accounting, budgeting, forecasting, analysis, taxation, and strategic planning.

The demands of this role will require the incumbent to be based in Abu Dhabi and be able to travel frequently (without restrictions or constraints) to our international locations.

Superior oral and written communication and presentation skills are essential. Fluency in Arabic and / or French languages is desirable, but not essential.
