Support Development
- Assist in identifying initiatives to enhance and improve Aldar’s current information management lifecycle.
- Develop and implement an Aldar Development BIM roadmap in collaboration with key stakeholders, departments, and industry leaders.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Implement and own the Aldar Organizational Information Requirements as defined within ISO 19650 standards.
- Define project-specific Project Information Requirements to guide the formation of Exchange Information Requirements for Aldar Projects.
- Identify, manage, and own BIM-related risks, assumptions, issues, and dependencies; drive solutions for swift resolution.
- Manage Aldar's BIM benefits framework, demonstrating tangible value addition through BIM implementation.
- Collaborate with procurement, asset management, and supply chain teams to develop and integrate a digital product/asset library throughout the project lifecycle.
- Establish a definitive digital asset and product level of definition based on BS 8541 and BS EN 17412-1 2020 standards applicable across the project lifecycle.
- Work with stakeholders in facilities, asset, and project management to define and implement Asset Information Requirements and related data definitions.
- Coordinate with Group Digital Services to identify software and hardware needs for BIM facilitation.
- Partner with the Centre of Excellence to define and establish the information management lifecycle following ISO 19650, BS EN 1192, and industry best practices.
- Support HR in developing BIM learning and talent initiatives to upskill personnel, teams, and departments.
- Stay informed of BIM trends, innovations, and relevant technologies and standards in digital design and archiving.
- Demonstrate thought leadership to promote innovation within BIM industry-wide.
- Lead assurance and audit activities to ensure compliance with Aldar’s BIM standards, methods, and procedures.
- Champion digital innovation and transformation within Development.
REQUIRED YEARS OF EXPERIENCE
Minimum of 10+ years in Digital Design Management within large-scale real estate development.
MANAGERIAL EXPERIENCE
At least 2+ years in a managerial role.
FIELD OF EXPERIENCE
- Proven experience with DFMA, MMC, and delivering DFMA change programs.
- Experience managing design teams and BIM modelers.
TECHNICAL AND INTERPERSONAL SKILLS
- Ability to manage multidisciplinary teams internally and externally.
- Knowledge of sustainability principles, including net zero, carbon neutrality, and safety.
- Familiarity with data ecosystems, BIM, VR/AR/MR, NFTs, GIS, digital twins, generative design, Industry 4.0, AI, and cognitive technologies.
- Experience implementing BIM across design, construction, operation, and maintenance in national and international organizations.
- Strong technical writing skills.
- Extensive knowledge of design authoring, checking, coordination, and approval tools and platforms.
- Experience in defining workflows for data exchange between technologies.
- Working knowledge of relevant standards such as BS 1192, PAS 1192, ISO 19650, COBie, NRM, Uniformat, MasterFormat, POMI.
- Experience configuring and managing project and corporate CDEs.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
QUALIFICATION
- Bachelor's Degree in Architectural Technologies or equivalent.
