Job summary

Clinipets Vet Clinic DMCC in Dubai seeks a licensed veterinarian to provide comprehensive medical care for dogs and cats, including examinations, diagnoses, and treatment planning. You will perform surgeries, interpret diagnostics, manage emergencies, maintain records, and communicate clearly with pet owners while working with a supportive team of nurses and staff.

MOCCAE licensing or eligibility is required; UAE experience is an advantage.

Qualifications

• Veterinary Medicine degree from a recognized institution.
• MOCCAE-licensed veterinarian or fully eligible to obtain MOCCAE / Dubai Municipality licensing.
• Previous hands-on clinical experience in small-animal practice is preferred.
• Strong clinical examination, diagnostic, and case-management skills.
• Competent in routine soft-tissue surgery and basic emergency management.
• Good knowledge of preventive medicine, vaccination protocols, parasite control, and general veterinary care.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with pet owners.
• Ability to work independently while also functioning effectively as part of a veterinary team.
• Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Genuine compassion and passion for animal welfare.
• Professional, responsible, reliable, and willing to continuously learn and develop.
• Experience in UAE veterinary sector is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive physical examinations consultations and routine health assessments for dogs and cats.
• Diagnose and manage common medical conditions in small-animal patients.
• Develop treatment plans and clearly explain diagnoses, treatment options and preventive care to pet owners.
• Perform routine soft-tissue surgical procedures and assist with surgical cases when required.
• Perform and interpret routine diagnostic procedures including laboratory tests, microscopy, imaging and other clinical investigations.
• Provide preventive healthcare including vaccinations, deworming, parasite control, dental care and wellness programs.
• Manage emergency and urgent cases appropriately and provide timely stabilization and treatment.
• Maintain accurate and complete medical records for all patients.
• Prescribe medications responsibly and provide clear instructions to clients regarding treatment and follow-up care.
• Monitor hospitalized or boarding patients and ensure their medical and welfare needs are properly addressed.
• Provide professional and compassionate client communication and maintain a high standard of customer service.
• Work collaboratively with veterinary nurses, reception and administrative staff to ensure smooth daily clinic operations.
• Follow clinic protocols, veterinary standards, health and safety procedures and applicable UAE regulations.
• Participate in continuing professional development and contribute to maintaining high standards of veterinary care within the clinic.
