Job summary

Kavak Mexico in Dubai is seeking an Automotive Mechanic to support on-site maintenance and roadside service. You will perform routine maintenance, diagnose faults, and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems across various vehicle brands.

The role requires an ITI diploma, 2–3 years experience, and a valid UAE driving license. You will work outdoors in different weather and ensure safety and compliance with local regulations.

Qualifications

• ITI diploma in Automobile Engineering is required.
• 2–3 years automotive mechanic experience; mobile workshop preferred.
• Valid UAE driving license is mandatory.
• Familiar with UAE roads and locations.
• Ability to diagnose and fix common vehicle faults independently.
• Good knowledge of automotive tools and diagnostic equipment.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Able to work outdoors in varying weather.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance: oil changes, tire rotations, top-offs, filters, brake inspections.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and electronic faults.
• Conduct safety and emission inspections per local regs.
• Use OBD-II scanners, oscilloscopes, and multimeters to troubleshoot faults.
• Documentation & Compliance.
• Record work, parts, and time in the shop system.
• Create detailed repair cost estimates.
• Keep the workspace clean, organized and safe.
• Handle and dispose of hazardous materials properly.

Job description

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive maintenance including oil changes tire rotations fluid top-offs filter replacements and brake inspections
• Diagnose and repair mechanical electrical hydraulic and electronic component failures in engine transmission steering suspension and braking systems
• Conduct comprehensive safety and state emission inspections according to local regulations
• Use diagnostic tools OBD-II scanners oscilloscopes multimeter units to troubleshoot warning lights and complex system faults
• Documentation & Compliance
• Document all work performed parts used and time spent accurately within the shop management system
• Create clear detailed estimates for repair costs required parts and labor hours
• Maintain a clean organized and safe workplace environmental standards
• Properly handle store and dispose of hazardous materials waste oil coolant battery fluid

Requirements

• Diploma ITI Certificate in Automobile Engineering
• Minimum 2 3 years of experience as an Automotive Mechanic experience in a mobile workshop or roadside assistance is an advantage
• Valid UAE Driving License is mandatory
• Must be familiar with UAE roads major highways routes and locations
• Strong knowledge of vehicle mechanical and basic electrical systems
• Ability to diagnose and resolve common vehicle faults independently
• Good knowledge of automotive tools and diagnostic equipment
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple service calls efficiently
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work outdoors and under different weather conditions
• Must follow all health safety and environmental regulations
