As a Vehicle Body Repairer, you will be responsible for restoring vehicles to their original structural integrity, function, and appearance following collisions. You will work on a wide range of tasks from minor repairs to extensive body rebuilding. This role requires a keen eye for detail, a deep understanding of vehicle structures, and proficiency in using a variety of tools and equipment. You will collaborate with other technicians, parts departments, and service managers to ensure vehicles are returned to customers in excellent condition. Responsibilities

• Examine vehicle damage, estimate repair costs, and provide recommendations to customers.
• Repair or replace damaged body parts such as panels, doors, and bumpers.
• Utilize hammers, dollies, sanding equipment, and other tools for body repair tasks.
• Ensure proper alignment and functioning of vehicle body parts and assemblies.
• Refinish repaired surfaces to match vehicle's original texture and color.
• Work closely with paint technicians to ensure appropriate paint shades and textures.
• Maintain work area cleanliness and ensure all equipment is in good working order.
• Follow all regulations and standards to ensure a safe and compliant work environment.
• Document completed repairs, parts used, and time spent for repair billing purposes.
• Collaborate with insurance adjustors to ensure all repairs are authorized and documented.
• Keep updated with the latest repair techniques and materials through ongoing training.
• Maintain customer satisfaction by ensuring timely, quality outcomes for all repairs.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent is required for this position.
• Completion of a formal auto body repair training program is highly desirable.
• Previous experience in vehicle body repair or a related field is required.
• Strong understanding of vehicle structure design and collision repair techniques.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under minimal supervision.
