Job description

We are seeking an Indian-origin candidate with expertise in Indian delicacies, specifically Maharashtra cuisine. The ideal candidate will possess a deep knowledge of vegetarian dishes, including traditional and contemporary recipes from the Maharashtra region. Responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing and cooking a variety of vegetarian Indian dishes with a focus on Maharashtra cuisine.
  • Ensuring high standards of food hygiene and kitchen cleanliness.
  • Managing food inventory and ensuring the availability of fresh ingredients.
  • Maintaining appropriate food and kitchen safety protocols.
  • Collaborating with the kitchen team to create a pleasant dining experience.

  • Contract Duration: Minimum 2 years

Experience and Qualifications
  • Experience Required: 3-5 years of experience as a cook specializing in Indian vegetarian cuisine, particularly Maharashtra food.
  • Special Course: Culinary training or certification in Indian cuisine is a plus.
Personal Attributes and Competencies
  • High attention to detail
  • Passion for cooking and creating new dishes
  • Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong work ethic and dedication
  • Good communication skills in English.
  • Proficiency in Hindi and Marathi is preferred.

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to manage kitchen inventory and maintain hygiene standards.
  • Creativity in menu planning and food presentation.
