Job Purpose:

The Van Sales Executive is responsible for promoting, distributing, and selling products to retail customers within an assigned territory. This is a front-line role that plays a critical part in driving sales and maximizing in-market distribution and visibility. The role requires strong customer relationship skills, daily field discipline, and the ability to execute route-level sales, merchandising, and delivery operations in line with company standards.

Van Sales Executives are the face of the company in the market and are expected to consistently grow the customer base, ensure product availability, and maintain visibility standards at every point of sale.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sell and distribute the full product range to retail outlets across an assigned route, achieving daily, weekly, and monthly sales and distribution targets
  • Promote products to new and existing customers through in-person visits, upselling, and new product introductions
  • Monitor stock levels, ensure product freshness, and rotate inventory at customer locations to maintain availability and reduce wastage
  • Take and confirm orders, prepare invoices or sales slips, and collect payments in accordance with company policy
  • Ensure customers receive the right products in the right quantities and follow up on any delivery issues with the back-office or warehouse team.
  • Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with store owners, managers, and staff to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty
  • Visit all customers on the assigned route as per schedule, address queries, handle objections, and resolve service issues promptly
  • Achieve assigned collection targets and maintain clear communication regarding credit policies, pending invoices, and payment terms.
  • Ensure products are properly displayed at each outlet in line with company visibility standards
  • Deploy and maintain in-store assets including coolers, displays, and POS materials, report damage, misuse, or loss of company property
  • Capture photos and share reports of visibility performance as per company reporting cycles
  • Educate store personnel on new products, promotions, and brand updates as needed
  • Operate the assigned sales van safely and efficiently, ensuring timely delivery of products to all outlets on the route
  • Conduct basic vehicle checks and routine maintenance such as oil, fuel, tire pressure, and cleanliness (interior and exterior)
  • Identify new customer opportunities and recommend route or territory improvements based on local knowledge
  • Support the execution of in-market promotions, seasonal campaigns, and sampling initiatives

Requirements:

  • Experience in sales within the FMCG, beverage, or food & beverage sectors in the UAE
  • Strong knowledge of the UAE Traditional Trade channel, including retail stores, independent groceries, mini-marts, and convenience outlets
  • Proven track record in achieving sales targets, maintaining customer relationships, and in-field execution
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work independently, manage time and priorities effectively, and maintain accountability for route performance
  • Familiarity with basic sales reporting tools and inventory processes
  • Valid UAE manual driving license is required
