As a Van Sales Executive in the food trading industry, your primary focus will be on driving sales through on-field activities, building strong relationships with retailers, and expanding the presence of our products in the market. You will be responsible for enhancing customer satisfaction by delivering high-quality food products directly to clients' doors and ensuring timely and efficient delivery services. In this role, you will perform market analysis to identify growth opportunities and employ strategic approaches to meet and exceed sales targets. This dynamic position demands excellent communication skills, a passion for sales, and the ability to thrive in a competitive market environment.


Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with existing and new clients in your territory.
  • Drive the sales van to various locations for direct sales activities to retail customers.
  • Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets as set by the sales manager.
  • Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and provide suitable solutions.
  • Manage daily routes efficiently to maximize sales opportunities and minimize travel time.
  • Identify and report on potential areas for sales growth and market expansion.
  • Offer new products to customers and provide education on product features and benefits.
  • Responsible for collecting payments and accurately managing cash transactions.
  • Prepare sales reports and provide feedback to management to enhance sales strategies.
  • Attend team meetings and training sessions to improve sales techniques and product knowledge.
  • Ensure the sales vehicle is clean, well-maintained and stocked with necessary inventory.
  • Collaborate with team members and management to improve sales performance overall.

Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent qualification; degree in sales is an advantage.
  • Proven experience in sales, preferably in the food trading industry.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills with a customer-focused approach.
  • Comfortable working independently and traveling extensively within the assigned area.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple customers daily.
  • Valid driver s license with a clean driving record is essential.
  • Ability to perform basic calculations to manage cash and sales transactions.
