Job description

JOB PURPOSE:

To perform assigned routine operational tasks within the respective Operation Centre in compliance with established policies, procedures, and standards, ensuring work is completed according to plan and supporting the achievement of refinery targets.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

1. Policies, Processes & Procedures: Follow all relevant policies, processes, procedures, and controls within the respective Operations Centre to fulfill procedural and legislative requirements while ensuring high-quality, safe, and cost-effective work.
2. Day-to-Day Operations: Carry out daily operations as directed by the Supervisor, ensuring timely, safe, and quality-compliant work completion. Receive daily instructions and adhere to them.
3. Operations: Assist Senior Operator/Technician in handling and transferring materials, tools, and equipment, ensuring safety, environmental, and quality standards are met. Maintain cleanliness and participate in pre-start meetings. Report incidents and assist in investigations.
4. Safety, Quality & Environment: Comply with all safety, quality, and environmental policies and procedures to ensure safety, legal compliance, and environmental responsibility.
5. Related Assignments: Perform other duties or assignments as directed.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

• Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma with relevant trade certification.
• Minimum Experience: 1-2 years in a production plant, preferably in alumina, gas, oil, or petrochemical industries. Certification or training in alumina refinery fundamentals is a plus.
• Skills: Physical fitness, industrial process knowledge, ability to support routine operations with minimal supervision, understanding of safety and environmental procedures, good communication, risk awareness.
